Adam Mercer commits to Norwich University

By Bruins PR, 02/21/18, 11:15AM EST

Bruins NCDC goaltender Adam Mercer has committed to NCAA Division III powerhouse Norwich University for the fall of 2018. A native of Belchertown, MA Adam began his Junior Bruins career 4 years ago at the 16U level and worked his way up thru the program and has developed into an elite junior hockey netminder.

Adam was one of 2 Bruins goalies selected to the USPHL All-Star game and his first period shutout in that game was littered with grade A saves that turned the heads of many of the scouts in attendance. In 17 appearances this season Mercer has compiled a 12-2-2 record with a 2.49GAA and .922% which ranks among the top goalies in the NCDC division.

“Norwich is getting a goaltender that loves to compete. He’s athletic and he gives his team a chance to win virtually every time out there. In fact he was undefeated all the way until late January. That’s hard to do at any level. It speaks to how consistent he’s been this year. We’re very excited to see him continue his career at Norwich. It’s a great program”, head coach Mike Anderson.

Congratulations to Adam and his family on their commitment to Norwich University.
