Hollydell Ice Arena is excited to announce the launch of a new AAA program,
the Philadelphia Hockey Club

  • Hollydell has a long history of player development, boasting over 40 players who were trained at Hollydell before playing college hockey, and 9 players currently playing professional hockey. Allowing our players to compete at the AAA level out of Hollydell is the logical next step.
  • We intend to field youth teams at the 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 birth years.
  • We intend to field midget teams at 18U, 16U and 15 Pure
  • All teams will compete in the USPHL
  • All players will receive baseline testing using the EyeGuide Focus concussion management platform, a cutting edge neurological technology

At the Philadelphia Hockey Club, our sole focus is facilitating our players’ progression to the next level of hockey.  Hollydell Ice Arena has had tremendous success developing players during its 25 years, and PHC will only accelerate the process.  When players join us, we will ask them one question, “Who’s Next?”

Squirt – 2008 and 2009

  • We will practice 3 times per week
  • Players will benefit from a series of in season training weekends
  • We will have up to 10 August practices to prepare for the season
  • In total, we will offer roughly 100 hours of practice ice
  • All teams will compete in the USPHL Youth division.  We will play an unbalanced league schedule, maximizing the number of competitive games while reducing the likelihood of non-competitive matchups
  • All league games will be played 2 per weekend day.  League schedules are expected to include between 12 and 20 games.  This will allow us to complete our league obligations in 6 to 10 weekend days
  • The efficient league schedule will allow us to create independent non-league schedules that are optimized for our teams’ ability.
  • 4 highly competitive tournaments will be included in tuition
  • All players will be offered discounted tuition to a week of camp at Hollydell Ice Arena
