Coach Lyke on Kossakowski, "JT was one of the best goalies in our Premier League this season and a big part of our teams success. Jt was labeled as one of the top goaltenders in the NA3HL last season and definitely lived up to his expectations with us this season. JT has an excellent work ethic and is a great character kid who has been raised the right way both on and off the ice. He is an athletic, quick and aggressive goalie who controls his rebounds and tracks pucks extremely well. He has excellent composure in the net and can play the puck very well which is a huge asset to any team he will play for. JT has the ability to win you hockey games by himself and definitely proved that this season. JT had numerous offers at the NCAA Division III and ACHA Division I levels of college hockey because of his excellent season with the Generals this year. JT decided on SNHU because of the excellent coaching staff, vast educational opportunities and all of the new and exciting things that are being added to campus. I am very proud of JT for accomplishing his goal of playing NCAA college hockey and  look forward to watching him play and grow for the next 4 years at SNHU."

Kossakowski on playing for the Generals," I am excited to announce my commitment to continue my education and play college hockey at SNHU. It was an honor to play for the Richmond Generals this past season. I will forever have amazing memories and great friendships to look back on from my time spent in Richmond. Coach Lyke and Coach Hasenzahl have certainly been the most passionate and are two of the best coaches I have played for so far in my career. Their dedication and passion for the game and their players has played a big role in my development as a player and young man. Coach Lyke and the Generals have given me the opportunity to go to a great school and continue my hockey career for which I am very thankful. I would like to thank my family, friends, teammates, and everyone who has supported me along the way to make this possible."

Coach Sean Walsh on Kossakowski, "We are very excited to have JT become a Penman. JT is a very technical goalie who is very competitive and athletic. He comes from a family with a lot of high level athletes and it is noticeable in his work ethic. We are excited for him to come in and compete for the starting job in net right away. "

JT becomes the fourth Generals player to commit to a College hockey program this year.  He joins current teammates Cameron Sangster (Becker College NCAA Division III ), Mike Curran (Aquinas College NAIA), Zach Pierce ( Worcester State NCAA Division III).
