MASON SNYDER SIGNS WITH CHEROKEE
(SYLVANIA NATIVE TO SUIT UP FOR TRIBE)
Toledo Ohio: The Toledo Cherokee proud members of the USPHL Premier (Great Lakes Conference) are excited to announce the signing of goaltender Mason Snyder for next season.
The Sylvania OH, native spent last season playing with the Northview Wildcats High School team. The 6’2’’ 180lb goalkeeper had a 2.60 goals against average last year as well as a .907 save percentage and four shutouts. The 18 year old was named Sportsman of the Year as well as second team all conference in the Red Division.
“Mason is a guy that works really hard, he is a big goalie that moves really well for his size. We know he is the type of player that will come in here and compete hard every day in practice and games.” Said head coach Kenny Miller
Snyder also played pre-post with the Sylvania North Stars U-18 team where he helped lead the club to the USA Hockey National tournament where they earned a Bronze medal.
Mason joins Spencer Sandberg, Matt Mintun, Anthony Weinrich, Bryce Davis and Jake Rhoades as players committed to the Cherokee for next season. “As we have said during this whole offseason we are looking for high character kids for this year’s team and we feel Mason brings that to our group we are putting together.” Added Miller
