Nash on Playing for the Generals,"Playing for the Richmond Generals these past 2 seasons have been ones to remember. I want to thank the Coaching staff for helping me in growing my game and preparing me for the next step playing college hockey. The Generals organization has helped me mature into a better player and a better person more importantly. I also want to thank my teammates that have made these past two seasons the most memorable. I am thankful for the opportunity of being able to grow and learn everyday with people I consider my brothers and my family now. I am very excited to be playing for the Liberty Flames next year and continuing my dream of playing college hockey."
Coach Lyke on Nash," Peyton is a great skater who uses his excellent speed to create turnovers and scoring chances for not only himself but his linemates as well. He has good hands and sees the ice very well which enable him to be a threat whenever he has the puck .Peyton is a very versatile player who can be used in all situations and play all 3 forward positions equally as well.Peyton is a young man who has a great work ethic, compete level and attitude that is contagious to be around and fun to Coach. Peyton had numerous Tier 2 Junior A offers and NCAA College offers for next season but made the choice to attend Liberty University because of the excellent education, values, lifestyle choice and hockey program. I know Coach Handy will be getting a top notch hockey player for his team but more importantly an excellent person that will be a leader both on and off the ice for his program.I am very proud of Peyton and his accomplishment and have enjoyed watching him grow up and develop in our program. I look forward to watching him continue to grow and develop next year at Liberty University. "
