The Chicago Cougars have 4 top Forwards returning from last season's team that averaged over 4 Goals/Game and led the division in offense and top 10 nationally in the category for the 3rd straight year!

"Each of these guys is a little bit unique in their style of play, but all contribute a heck of a lot for our team on the front end and collectively they give us absolutely one of the best groups of returning Forwards in the Midwest Divisions." commented Head Coach Brad Stoffers Wednesday

#4 Breydon Hemminger

"Hemi" plays true to his name and is a guy that gives 100% effort in everything he does. The Assistant Captain leads by examplewith energy and work ethic becoming a nightmare for the opposition and putting everything on the linewhen he laces up the skates. Equally talented skill wise as he is with work ethic Hemminger was top 5 on the team in Points last season registering 31 in 40 games played despite selflessly playing Defense for a month of the season even though he is a natural Forward.

#6 Tristan Hillebert

20 year old, 2 way Forward, Tristan Hillebert, joined the Cougars for the second half of last season and collected a Point/Game down the stretch as well as being a key piece in the top 6 in the playoffs. Combining a 2 way mindset with a dynamic shot, the Topeka, KS native has gotten some NAHL interest this Summer, but will be returning to the Cougars to finish his Junior career and is poised to blow his numbers from last season out of the water with a full year in Chicago.

#12 Kurt LaPak

Kurt LaPak will return to the Cougars lineup in 2018-19. The Marengo, IL native suited up in 36 Games for the Cougars last season collecting 13 Points and playing a huge roll in the top 9 Forwards as a smart play making Forward capable of playing alongside anyone on the roster. A graduate of the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals AAA program, LaPak is a 2 way Forward and glue guy in the locker room with his teammates.

#24 Alec Mahoney

Power Forward Alec Mahoney will rejoin the Cougars in 2018-19 for his second stint with the organization after playing Team Illinois AAA hockey in midgets. Suiting up for the Cougars in 36 Games and scoring 13 Points, Mahoney played a part on every line last season because of his versatility as a Power Forward. Capable of punishing opposing players, Mahoney quickly established himself as one of the most feared players in the country. We are excited to have him on our side again this season and watch him strike fear in our opponents for another season.

The Cougars will report in late August and begin training camp the week before Labor Day weekend. Stay tuned for more roster signings and a complete schedule release soon!
