Congratulations to our first class of Players of the Week in the National Collegiate Development Conference.
Forward: Matt Allen, Junior Bruins.
After a tough season opener, the Junior Bruins got back at the New Jersey Rockets the next night, thanks in large part to a hat trick and assist scored by Allen, a '99 out of Smithfield, R.I. He is committed to Providence College.
Defense: Jovan Zimmerman, New Jersey Rockets
His empty-net goal capped the Rockets' season-opening win in his USPHL debut over the Junior Bruins, and the Rockets praised his solid defensive game throughout the first weekend of play.
Goal: Ryan McInchak, New Jersey Hitmen.
After missing the whole 2017-18 season with microfracture surgery, McInchak backstopped the Hitmen to a 4-1 and 2-0 sweep of the Islanders Hockey Club.
In 120 minutes, McInchak went 2-0, posted a 0.50 goals-against average, a .979 save percentage and 46 saves.
Methodology: Players of the Week are first nominated by their NCDC head coaches, and then selected by USPHL Manager of Media and Communications Joshua Boyd.
