Congratulations to our Players of the Week, representing the Midwest West, Midwest East and Great Lakes Divisions, for the week of Sept. 17-23.
Forward - Kyle Banks, Motor City Hockey Club
With a six-point weekend, Kyle Banks ('98 / Detroit, Mich.) helped give Motor City a weekend series win over the Midwest Blackbirds, including two goals in Saturday's 3-1 win and a goal with 11 seconds left on Sunday, giving Motor City a 2-1 stunner over the Blackbirds.
Defense (tie) - Eric Malcarney, Minnesota Moose; Kenny White, Pittsburgh Vengeance
Eric Malcarney, a '98 out of Baar, Switzerland, was all over the scoresheet in both his games last weekend. He helped the Moose pull through Game 1 with two power play assists and put another three assists up in Game 2, including one on the game-tying goal late in the third period. On the weekend, Malcarney put up five assists.
Kenny White, a '98 from Trafford, Pa., had two assists and logged heavy minutes for the Pittsburgh Vengeance as they are 2-1 on the season. White now has three total points.
Goalie - Drake Bradshaw, Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings.
Bradshaw stopped 31 of 32 shots to pick up his first win on the season in a 5-1 win over the Rum River Mallards.
