Congratulations to our newest group of Players Of The Week representing the USPHL Premier's Midwestern divisions (Midwest East, Midwest West, Great Lakes).
Forwards: Breydon Hemminger, Chicago Cougars; Nick Erker, Pittsburgh Vengeance (tie).
After a slower start offensively, Cougars captain Breydon Hemminger ('99/St. Charles, Ill.) exploded last weekend, collecting 14 points in three games. He posted four goals and 10 assists, and his better than two points per game average has him ranked No. 1 in the entire Premier League. He is looking to continue to add to his points per game pace at the USPHL Chicago Showcase, which the Cougars are hosting Thursday through Sunday.
Nick Erker ('98/Avon Lake, Ohio) scored four goals and added one assist, while being a major contributor to the power play and penalty kill success the Vengeance had as a team.
Defense: Blake Gutterman, Minnesota Mullets.
Defenseman Blake Gutterman ('99/Forest Lake, Minn.) had one goal and three assists in two wins over the Minnesota Moose.
Goalie: Niilo Ventela, Steele County Blades
In his season debut, the '00 from Finland stopped 50 of 51 shots in Saturday’s 3-1 Blades win over the Dells Ducks.
