Congratulations to our newest group of Players Of The Week from the Northern divisions of the USPHL Premier (Northeast, New England, Mid-Atlantic).

Forward: Zachary Desmarais, Twin City Thunder.

The Twin City Thunder went 2-2 at the Cyclones Columbus Day Showcase, and this ‘00 from Drummondville, Que., put on a brow-raising performance, with seven points all in the last three games he played there. That also put him into a five-way tie for eighth in the 51-team league scoring race.

Defense: Nick Malik, Twin City Thunder.

Malik, a ‘99 from Fort Myers, Fla., moved into second overall among defensemen scoring in the Premier Division thanks to a seven-point weekend at the Cyclones Showcase. That included a four-assist effort in the Thunder’s 5-1 win over the Philadelphia Hockey Club.

Goal: Nick Howard, Northern Cyclones.

Two shutouts at the Cyclones’ own showcase (and three in a row going back to the prior weekend) definitely gets you Goalie Of The Week. The returning ‘99 from Burlington, Mass., stopped 77 shots in his two games worth of action in Hudson last weekend.
