Congratulations to our Players Of The Week from the USPHL 16U full-season Midget division.

Forward: Nate Hanley, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders.

Hanley, an ‘02 from Rocky Point, N.Y., who is committed to Northeastern University for 2021-22, put on a clinic at the 2018 Hitmen Classic last weekend. He had two games of five points apiece, and another with three points for 13 points through three games. That included a four-goal game in the Islanders’ first of two matches against the Maine Moose.

Defense: Michael Rubin, New Jersey Rockets.

Rubin, an ‘03 from New York who has seen action with both the 15U and 16U Rockets this year, pulled himself into a tie for third among defensemen scoring in the 16U Division. He had three two-point efforts and one more game scoring one point the Rockets’ four games at the Hitmen Classic. For those keeping score, that’s a seven-point weekend.

Goal: Tristan Neubart, New Jersey Hitmen.

An ‘03 from East Greenbush, N.Y., Neubart went 2-0 at the Hitmen Classic, stopping 56 of 57 shots on the weekend, and registering a shutout win against Newbridge Academy in the process. He also came in on relief and stopped 11 of 12 shots against in a 3-2 loss to the Islanders Hockey Club.
