Congratulations to this week’s trio of USPHL 18U Forwards Of The Week.

Forward: Cody Monds, Northwood School.

For Affiliate Members, the Northwood School squad has played quite a bit lately in the USPHL. They’ve had five league games over the last three weekends, and use those games to continue boosting what is currently a No. 4 national ranking.

Helping them to a 10-0-1 record in USPHL games, St. Lawrence recruit Cody Monds (‘01/Brockville, Ont.) has continued to fill up scoresheets. He has scored in six of the nine USPHL games and each time he scores, he does so in multiples. That was the same this past weekend, as he scored three goals and three assists, with a two-goal game Saturday and a 1-3-4 line on Sunday, both against the South Shore Kings. He now has 16 points in nine league games.

Defense: T.J. Schweighardt, New Jersey Hitmen.

Players Of The Month most recently, Schweighardt didn’t take his foot off the gas. He is the third-leading scorer for the entire 18U Division with 19 points through his 12 games played. This past weekend, the ‘01 from Wayne, N.J. (also home to the Hitmen) posted a goal and six assists over three games. That came in wins over the New Jersey Rockets and in a pair against the Boston Junior Bruins.

The Hitmen moved to 9-3-0-1 with their three-win weekend.

Goal: Ryan Wilson, Northwood School.

Wilson, the ‘00 from Darien, Conn., earned two more wins this past weekend, in which he gave up just one goal on 26 shots in two games. He is now the 18U Division leader in goals against average (0.97) and save percentage (.953) among goalies with more than five appearances.
