Congratulations to this week’s Players Of The Week from the full-season USPHL 16U Division.

Forward: Zachary Aben, Palmyra Black Knights.

Aben (‘03/Shavertown, Pa.) moved into fifth overall in the USPHL 16U Division scoring, and he now has 15 goals and 20 points in just 12 games.

Over the last weekend, he picked up four goals on Saturday and then added one more in a nip-and-tuck loss to the Skipjacks Hockey Club. He now has 10 goals scored in his last four USPHL games.

Defense: Andrew Gelman, New York Aviators.

This ‘02-born New York City native continues to impress. Along with a 10-point September, he has already started November with just four points and we’re only a week in. He had a goal and three assists in the Aviators’ 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Vengeance on Sunday.

Goal: Jake Essensa, New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs.

Essensa (‘02/Danvers, Mass.) stopped all 27 shots he faced from the Northern Cyclones on Halloween, to improve to 5-0 on the season. In his last three league games played for the Monarchs, he’s given up just two goals total, and holds a .943 save percentage. That is good for sixth in the league among goalies with at least five games played.
