USPHL Premier: Players Of The Week / Midwest Divisions

Congratulations to this week’s trio of players representing the USPHL Premier’s Great Lakes, Midwest East and Midwest West Divisions. 


Forward: Cole Creger, Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings. 

The ‘00 from Lafayette, Colo., exploded for eight points in helping lead his team to a pair of wins over the Kasson Vipers last weekend. He more than doubled his points heading into the weekend and now has 14 points in 14 games. Overall, he had five goals and three assists in the two games. 


Defense: Mavrick Melancon, Decatur Blaze. 

In three games this past weekend, the ‘00 from St. Jacques, Que., scored two goals and added five assists, three of his assists coming on Friday in a 3-1 win over Tri City. He picked up a goal and an assist in each of the next two games, also wins against the IceHawks. 


Goal: Emil Norrman, Dells Ducks. 

The ‘98 from Kungsbacka, Sweden, upset first place teams with a pair of wins against the first place Hudson Havoc. He shut out the Havoc Friday in a 28-save effort, and stopped 31 of 34 shots in Saturday’s win. He now stands at 6-6 overall with a .927 save percentage. In his last five appearances, his save percentage has been .943, so he just keeps getting better this season.
