Congratulations to our Players Of The Week from the USPHL Premier’s Southern divisions (Florida, Southeast).

Forward: John Moncovich, Hampton Roads Whalers.

Moncovich (‘98/Wilmington, N.C.) had a seven-point weekend for the Whalers. He picked up 1 assist on Saturday, then exploded for five goals and one assist on Sunday as the Whalers swept Potomac.

Defenseman: Ethan Prout, Richmond Generals.

Prout (‘99/Boulder, Colo.) was excellent in all situations for the Generals this weekend, helping them secure the sweep of the Eagles in Carolina this weekend. He scored the game-winning goal on Sunday and was the Generals’ top defenseman on the weekend in all areas of the ice. Prout now has one goal and 15 assists for 16 points in 22 games this season.

Goal: Christian Sanzottera, Florida Jr. Blades.

Sanzottera (‘99/St. Louis, Mo.) had a solid showing in Sunday’s win in only his second start of the season. He stopped 47 of 48 shots.
