Congratulations to these Players Of The Week from the USPHL’s Midwest Divisions, all of which were represented in the USPHL Winter Showcase.

Forward: Dylan Marty, Hudson Havoc.

Marty (New Richmond, Wis.) had a huge weekend in a three-game sweep of both the Minnesota Blue Ox and Dells Ducks. He posted a hat trick against the Blue Ox on Friday. He had two more three-point efforts against the Ducks including the game-winner on Saturday and an assist on Chris Dusek’s overtime game-winner on Sunday.

Defense: Alec Porzondek, Motor City Hockey Club.

Porzondek (‘98/Macomb, Mich.) ended the USPHL Winter Showcase with the overtime game-winner against an offensively gifted New York Aviators team on Monday morning. That was Porzondek’s second of the game. He also had a goal in a loss to the Junior Bruins, and assists against the Jersey Shore Whalers and Skipjacks Hockey Club.

Goal: Jack Bostedt, Minnesota Mullets.

The Mullets picked up three of four points against a surging Rum River Mallards team, largely on the back of the goalie Bostedt (‘99/Janesville, Wis.). On Friday, Bostedt turned away 36 of 39 shots in a 5-3 win. The next night, the teams went all the way to the shootout, and he stopped 48 of 50 shots during team play. The Mullets couldn’t capitalize in the shootout, which led to a 3-2 overtime shootout loss.
