Cherokee Return Home Friday (Tribe Host Oilers Friday, Travel To Wooster Saturday)

Toledo OH – The Toledo Cherokee return home tomorrow night when they host the Wooster Oilers at the Team Toledo Ice House. Face of is at 7:00PM.

 

“It doesn’t get any bigger for us then these two games, both teams are fighting to jump in the final playoff spot and we need to be ready to play.” Said head coach Kenny Miller

 

The Cherokee will then travel to down south to Wooster on Saturday. The puck will drop at 7:45PM

 

Toledo returns to action after going 2-2 at the USPHL Winter Showcase in Boston MA last weekend. “I felt like we left some points on the table we were good at times but in this league you have to be ready to play every game and we didn’t come ready to play in a few of the games out there.” Added Miller

 

Team Captain Spencer Sandberg (Fort Wayne IN) continues to lead the way offensively, in the 33 games the forward has 17 goals and 22 assists for 39 points. Bailey Byrd (Woodhaven MI) scored his first junior hat trick in Boston, while goaltender Mason Snyder (Sylvania OH) picked up his first shutout of the season.
