Congratulations to these Players Of The Week from the Northern Divisions of the USPHL Premier (New England, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic), all of whom competed in the USPHL Winter Showcase last weekend.

Forward: Bryan O’Mara, Skipjacks Hockey Club.

The Skipjacks went 3-1 at the Winter Showcase, and in each of the four games, O’Mara was a difference-maker. He scored the game-winning goal on Jan. 4 vs. Pittsburgh, and the next day, he had a two-goal, two-assist performance against the Metro Jets Development Program.

He posted a goal and two assists vs. Motor City Hockey Club on the Sunday, and finished with one last goal on Monday against the Richmond Generals. All told, he came away with five goals and four assists for nine points against very tough competition. He is now tied for ninth in the USPHL Premier with 48 points in 32 games.

Defense: Zach Henkin, Hartford Jr. Wolfpack

The Wolfpack went 4-0 at the Winter Showcase, and Henkin (‘00/Colchester, Vt.) was a big part of that success. He scored two goals and eight assists for 10 points over the four games, and quickly jumped into the top 25 scoring leaders among defensemen. He now has 23 points in 25 games played for the Wolfpack, who are 5-0-1 in their last six.

Goalie: Tie- Adam Kampersal, Hartford Jr. Wolfpack; Christian Heller, New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs.

Kampersal (‘98/Holliston, Mass.) registered two straight wins at the Showcase, turning away 46 of 48 shots and registering one shutout victory, his second of the season.

Heller (‘98/Pittsburgh, Pa.) earned two victories as well at the Winter Showcase, including one shutout, and made 64 saves on 66 shots.
