By USPHL Staff, 01/23/19, 6:45PM EST

Congratulations to these Players Of The Week winners from the Elite Division’s Southern region.

Forward: Brendan Meyer, Richmond Generals.

Meyer (‘99/Fort Collins, Colo.) had a big weekend for the Generals, who swept the Potomac Patriots and leapfrogged Charlotte into second place in the Southeast Division. He had a goal in the Saturday game, and a goal and three assists in Sunday’s contest. Meyer is the active leading scorer for Richmond, with 42 points through 38 games.

Defenseman: Tyler Dienna, Hampton Roads Whalers.

The Whalers split the weekend with rival Charlotte Rush, and Dienna (‘00/Virginia Beach, Va.) factored on the score sheet in both games. He scored the power play game-winning goal in the first game, and added an assist on his team’s third goal. The Whalers very nearly came back from being down 5-1 to tie the game, but fell by a 5-3 score.

Goalie: Henri Pelletier, Richmond Generals.

Pelletier (‘00/North Potomac, Md.) was in net for both of the Generals’ wins this weekend, earning one shutout with 13 saves made. The next day, he stopped 13 of 15 shots to go 2-0 on the weekend.

Pelletier is 4-0 going back to Dec. 17, and he has given up five goals total in his last five appearances. He is 9-2 overall with two shutouts, a .910 save percentage and a 2.08 goals against average.
