USPHL Elite: Players Of The Week / Southern Divisions

By USPHL Staff, 01/31/19, 9:15AM EST

Congratulations to these Players Of The Week winners from the Elite Division’s Southern region.

Forward: Robert Lawrence, Atlanta Jr. Kings.

The ‘01 from Toronto, Ont., nearly doubled his previous points total in this past weekend alone. He scored two goals, one on the power play, and then another pair (including the GWG) on Sunday, along with an assist. His five-point weekend gave him 11 points for the season and helped the Kings to a much-needed pair of wins over the higher-ranked Charlotte Rush.

Defense: Shaun Houk, Carolina Eagles.

Houk (‘02/Tampa, Fla.) helped the Carolina Eagles to a set of victories against the Potomac Patriots. In their first game on Saturday, he had a shorthanded and an even strength assist. He added one more assist on Sunday. He has 21 points on the season, nine of those coming in January alone. He’s scored points in seven of the Eagles’ eight games in January.

Goal: Ryan Creenan, Richmond Generals.

As the Richmond Generals pull neck-and-neck with the Hampton Roads Whalers for the Elite Southeast championship, Creenan (‘99/Colonia, N.J.) has proven invaluable to the Generals. He has three wins now against the Whalers after helping the Generals defeat them on Saturday, stopping 24 of 25 saves on Richmond’s Fan Appreciation Night.
