Forward: Bryan O’Mara, Skipjacks Hockey Club.
The Skipjacks Hockey Club are going to be a tough draw for whomever draws them in the semifinals of the Mid-Atlantic Division over that first weekend of March. They went 6-1-0-1 in January and at the helm of their high octane offense is the ‘00-born O’Mara, joining out of upstate New York, was dynamite with 23 points in those eight games.
He started the new year off with a 12-point performance in four USPHL Winter Showcase games, where the Skipjacks went 3-1 overall.
Against one of the Midwest’s best teams, the Motor City Hockey Club, O’Mara posted a goal and five assists.
Later in the month, back in cross-divisional play against the Hartford Jr. Wolfpack, O’Mara scored two goals and three assists on Jan. 25 and he added two more goals after that for a seven-point weekend to close his month’s work.
He is tied for first overall in USPHL Premier goals with 40, and he is seventh in league scoring with 63 points in 37 games.

Defense: David Cicak, New Jersey Rockets.
Cicak (‘99/Roselle Park, N.J.) and the Rockets started the new year off right by going 3-1 at the USPHL Winter Showcase, where the blueliner notched six points, including two multi-point performances.
Cicak finished January with 15 points in 11 games, as the Rockets pulled to within two games of .500 to recover from first half struggles. They went 7-3-1-0 during the month to pull into clear possession of fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Division and home ice in the first round of the playoffs.
He had a pair of three-point games later in January against two very strong opponents, the New Jersey Hitmen and Skipjacks Hockey Club.
After the first weekend of February, he was third in the league in goals with 15. Overall, he has 33 points in 37 games.

Carlson (‘98/Clermont, Fla.) committed to NCAA Division 3 Framingham State University in January, capping off an overall amazing month for the veteran USPHL player and second-year Pics netminder.
He went 4-1 during January, and gave up on average less than one goal per game in the month (0.99 GAA), while also shutting out both the Decatur Blaze and Wooster Oilers at the USPHL Winter Showcase in back-to-back games.
He stopped 162 of 167 shots during January, closing it out with a .970 save percentage. He was third in save percentage at .947 and sixth in the league in goals against average as the month ended, at 1.94.
