Boston, MA (March 6, 2016) - The Islanders Hockey Club and Jersey Hitmen won their respective semifinal series to clinch their spots in the USPHL Premier Division Dineen Cup Championship.

North Andover, MA – The Islanders Hockey Club continued its’ pursuit of the coveted Dineen Cup with a semi-finals sweep of the visiting South Shore Kings.  The top seeded IHC and Founders Cup Champions will now face the Jersey Hitmen in a best of three series to determine who will reign supreme in the USPHL.

Islanders Hockey Club Premier Advances to Dineen Cup Semifinals

North Andover, MA – The Islanders Hockey Club allowed just one goal in a two-game sweep over the Rochester Americans winning 3-0 and 4-1.  The wins propel the IHC into the semi-finals of the USPHL Premier Division.

The Islanders Hockey Club, from North Andover, Massachusetts, lost their opener but never lost two games in a row during the entire season. They traded the league lead with the Jersey Hitmen and Boston Junior Bruins before ultimately coming out on top with a 36-8-0 record.

After a contentious battle that spanned the entire length of the season, the USPHL Premier Division Founders Cup has finally been claimed by the Islanders Hockey Club after a 5-3 win over the PAL Jr. Islanders on Saturday night.
