The Florida Eels Elite sweep the Tampa Juniors and now move on to the second round of the USPHL Southern Conference playoffs. This is the first time the Eels swept the Tampa Juniors in the playoff round. Tampa is good and every year they cause havoc for the Eels. In fact two seasons ago when the Eels Elite team seemed invincible, they were upset by Tampa despite being up by 4 goals in game 3.

The Florida Eels USP3 team Wins 2 out 3 over the Daytona Racers in their 3 game homestand at the Fort Myers Skatium.

Florida Eels Rookie Nikita Lopatin takes center stage on the Eels Elite team and in the entire USPHL.  This young man is a 1999 from Moscow Russia. He came here as an unknown in our league but let it be clear GM Frank Scarpaci knew exactly what he was getting when he recruited him. GM Scarpaci’s foreign scouts came up big time once again in assisting us in bringing Nikita to the Eels. The Eels have been very successful in recruiting foreign players and once again the Eels were fortunate to have him join our program.

Zac Boyle - the Eels’ quiet giant. This young man has been nothing short of phenomenal for the Eels over his young career. He leads the team in scoring and is amongst the league’s leading scorers.

The Florida Eels unravel the Palm Beach Hawks 11-3 on Monday MLK. To say the Eels were on fire would be the understatement of the year. No doubt all cylinders were working on over speed. This is no surprise to anyone who watches the Eels practice. That is how they train every day. Practice out of your comfort zone –over speed training. If you do this every day at practice it will come natural in games. The Eels actually had 111 shooting attempts. That is truly remarkable in any forum. They tallied 84 shots on the Hawks 2 netminders and netted 11 big ones. The Eels Elite team is polishing their game for playoffs right now. The Eels Coach Frankie Scarpaci Head is fine-tuning his team for their huge playoff run. He is also trying some new line combinations and some change-ups in their system as well, so opposing teams wont have a good read from history in how the Eels play.
