Adam on playing for the Generals ," Playing for the Richmond Generals was an incredible expierence that I will never forget. I was able to learn so much from the Coaching Staff who helped me improve my game which has prepared me to play College hockey. The Generals organization is truly all about development and cares about its players and wants to move them on to the best situation possible. We had amazing support from the community and great fans which makes for a great atmosphere that is fun to play in. I would like to say Than You to the Coaching Staff and my teammates for making my last year of Junior hockey so special. I am really looking forward to being a Raider next year and accomplishing my goal which was playing NCAA Division 3 College Hockey at MSOE for the next 4 years."
Coach Lyke on Czarnecki," Adam was one of the most recruited and top all around forwards in the Premier Division this season. Adam is extremely fast and explosive and has a very high hockey IQ to go along with excellent hands and vision on the ice. Adams skill set ,speed, and vision make him extremely dangerous whenever he is on the ice with the puck. Adam excels on special teams and is one of the best PK guys we have ever had because of excellent stick, speed, and ability to read plays and turnover pucks which creates scoring oppurtunities for him and his teammates. One of the best things about Adam's game is for as skilled as he is ,his play away from the puck is just as good. Adam's compete level, work ethic, and character are off the charts ,which makes him a fun player to watch, coach, and more importantly an asset to any team he plays for. I know Adam will be an excellent player for MSOE,and is the type of player that Coach Ostrapina will want to Coach and have in his program for the next 4 years. "
Adam becomes the 7th Generals player to commit to a college for next season, and the136th Generals player to move to a College hockey program in the last 7 years. Costa on playing for the Generals," It was a priviledge to play for the Richmond Generals and their excellent Coaching staff for my last year of Juniors. The Coaches taught me to work to my strengths as a player and made me feel appreciated for the contributions that I brought to the team. I enjoyed playing this year with such a competitive and talented team and made many great friendships and memories. Since my playing days as a U16/U18 AAA Midget player the organization has always felt like home because of the way the Coaching staff cares about each player. The Generals not only develop you as a hockey player but also as a young man. I knew Coach lyke and the Generals organization could help me achieve my goal of playing NCAA College hockey and I am grateful for the oppurtunity that I now have."
Coach Lyke on Costa," Peter is a big ,strong, heavy power forward that is tough to play against. Peter competes hard every shift and likes to finish his hits and win his 1 on 1 battles all over the ice. Peter does very well on the penalty kill and will make many contributions to his team that are invaluable that do not show up on the scoresheet every night. Peter moves well for a big man and has a nice scoring touch around the net where he can help his team add some secondary scoring. It is great to see how far Peter has come since playing with our youth teams not only as a player but more importantly as a young man. I look forward to watching Peter continue his growth next season not only as a player but as a student athlete at Anna Maria College with Coach McCauley and the Amcats."
