Acworth native John Testino has chosen to stay home
Acworth, Georgia native John Testino has chosen to stay home and attend Kennesaw State University. "I'm torn", said Coach Kevin St. Jacques. "John has had several D3 team offers. As much as I would have liked him to accept any of those offers, I totally respect his decision." Coach Kevin continues, "John has been with me and the Atlanta Junior Knights program for four years. He is a rugged winger who does nothing but play the game the right way. John carries himself on and off the ice with class!" John was captain of the Atlanta Junior Knights three of the four years he played with them. He plays the game with heart and soul!
Coaches Kevin St. Jacques and Scott Hilton recognized John's need for some work to his game his first year with the organization. Not a problem for John! All he did year after year was continually work on his skating and hockey skills throughout his entire time with the Knights. All that hard work paid off. John finished off his Knights career totaling 60 goals and 78 assists. "No doubt John is a leader!" said Coach Kevin. "He plays hard at both ends, blocks shots, loves to score goals in the high rent district. I believe one of his best qualities is that he will play injured. John hates being out of the lineup. That is purely a character trait. I'm gong to miss John's work ethic on and off the ice and definitely his leadership abilities", finished Coach Kevin.
"I would like to thank the entire Knights organization for everything they have done for me the past four years" said John. "I would like to thank Coach Kevin St. Jacques especially for going above and beyond every day to do everything in his power to develop me as a hockey player. I would not be the man I am today without the help of the Knights organization these past four years".
Atlanta Junior Knights would like to congratulate John Testino
and wish him the best at KSU!
