ESTERO, FL- The Florida Jr. Blades have signed Brendon Schultz and Shaun Brown head coach Todd Pococke and assistant coach Tyler Carlston announced today.

Schultz, 6’3”, 201-pounds, joins the Jr. Blades out of Toledo, Ohio.

“We're excited to have Brendon up front for us,” said Pococke. “He is big player who works hard and knows the game very well.”

Goaltender Brown ended the 2017-18 season with a .891 save percentage in his 14 games played with the Idaho IceCats in the WSHL.

“Shaun is a big goalie who takes up a lot of net,” said Pococke. “He moves well and is smart on the back end.”

ESTERO, FL- The Florida Jr. Blades have signed Casey Bourdeau and Ben Wasserburg head coach Todd Pococke and assistant coach Tyler Carlston announced today.

Bourdeau split the majority of last season between the Brantford Jr. B 99ers and the Kitchener Jr. Rangers close to his native city of London, Ontario.

“Casey is a great addition coming in with junior experience,” said Pococke. “He knows the game and sees the ice well.”

Wasserburg signed with the Jr. Blades after playing an Elite season with the New York Aviators in the United States Premier Hockey League.

“We're looking forward to working with Ben as he is another player coming in with junior experience,” said Pococke. “He plays a hard-nosed game and has great character.”

Florida Jr. Blades Ink Josh Grund And Jack Taylor

ESTERO, FL- The Florida Jr. Blades have signed forward Josh Grund and defenseman Jack Taylor, head coach Todd Pococke and assistant coach Tyler Carlston announced today.

Grund joins the Jr. Blades after playing two seasons with the Syracuse Jr. Stars in the USPHL.

“Josh is a player who brings a lot of speed and has a heavy shot,” said Pococke. “He also plays a gritty game and isn't afraid to play physical.”

 

Taylor signed with the program after posting 22 points in his 52 games played with the St. Louis AIC Prospects U18 program during the 2017-18 season.

“Jack is a D man who plays a smart, solid game,” said Pococke. “We're excited to have him hold down the blue line.”
